Dog park, salt water pool and areas to walk. All pads are concrete, nicely spaced and each has trees. Close enough to the freeway but without the noise. Very clean, level sites, with concrete pads, small trimmed trees, and well kept lawns at each site. We enjoyed the stay and will visit again when in the area.
Horses and pack animals are not allowed in campgrounds but may be kept in the public corrals near Shake Camp. Four campsites were recently constructed near the public corrals and are available for equestrian users only. Equestrian campers are required to register and pay for their site at the Shake Camp Campground.
RV Parks & Campgrounds near Little Rock, AR
Due to the narrow and winding road to reach the campground, RVs and trailers are prohibited . The campground is organized into two loops of five campsites each. Each loop has two vault toilets and at least two potable water spigots. The campground is situated near the Wishon Fork of the Tule River, and several of the campsites in the upper loop have excellent river access. This campground area is becoming increasingly popular for day-users as it provides close access to the Tule River. Hidden Falls Campground has eight campsites.
Facilities provided include restrooms, water, pay showers, horseshoe pits and a playground area. Each site contains a tent pad, fire grate and picnic table. Electrical hook-ups are available in sites 1-32. Sites do not have electricity and are first-come, first-served.
Tyler Bend Campground, AR
The group camp is situated adjacent to a meadow with many hiking trails in and around the camp. The campground is available by reservation only. Shake Camp Campground has 15 campsites and one additional site for a camp host . Four of the campsites are located adjacent to public corrals near the main campground and are intended to be used exclusively for equestrian campers.
The next morning, please stop by the Office again to complete the check-in process. Of 3 weeks of traveling from Texas to Nebraska to Seattle, then home to Texas this was by far the NICEST RV Park we stayed . In 1945, fearing that the giant trees would soon vanish from the Mountain Home tract, local organizations pressured the legislature to protect the remaining old-growth redwood trees. The State of California purchased the Mountain Home tract from the Michigan Trust Company for a bargain price. In 1946 the State acquired the land and so began the Mountain Home Demonstration State Forest. The area within the bounds of Mountain Home Demonstration State Forest is rich in local history dating back to the 1880’s.

It is free to camp at Rush in the winter. All sites are limited to 6 people per site and each site is $16 per night. This is a pack in/pack out facility, trash collection is not available. Beautiful setting not too far from the interstate. Very friendly staff with escort service to site. Sites are large and spacious with lots of privacy.
Camping at MHDSF requires a camping permit and payment of a fee. Permits and payment information are available at the entrance to each campground. Pets are welcome but must be controlled by the owner at all times.
Medium Campsite
Small, Medium, and Large size campsites provide options based on the size of your RV or camper. All sites have water and electric hook ups. Public restrooms and an on-site dumping station offer added convenience. The 16-site campground is surrounded by mountains in a wooded setting.
This was the best park we stayed in on this 6000 mile trip, we stayed 9 days, monthly rates are very reasonable. Facility is great, restrooms, laundry, pool, overall layout and very roomy for our trailer. Grass was everywhere for our dog, we would stay here again.
The local Native Americans used this area in the summer to camp, hunt and gather food. An interpretive exhibit at Sunset Point leads visitors through an archaeological site with evidence of occupation dating back 9,000 years. Relax in the shaded campsites at Buck Creek, on the Arkansas side of the massive Bull Shoals Lake. Here, there's plenty of opportunities for water sports, hiking and picnicking. Stayed here two nights without reservations on a trip to Boise and was a very nice campground. Private Showers/Bathrooms were excellent.
Grazing and timbering flourished sporadically during this time. A number of sawmills were built at Mountain Home to process the pine and redwood logs that were harvested from the forest. These mills included the Enterprise, Coburn, Frasier, Elster and Hedrick. The middle river location also allows for extended seasons for kayaking and tubing. If there's enough rain, the sports can go through mid to late summer. Lead Hill Campground is a splendid, sizable campground with plenty of waterfront sites along the shores of Bull Shoals Lake.
Swimming, hiking and all types of boating are favorite pastimes for lake-goers. Coves are ideal for water skiers while the breezy, open areas provide excellent conditions for sailing. Explore Boise, Bruneau Dunes Park, Anderson Ranch Reservoir and Glenn's Ferry or enjoy Fly Fishing only minutes away on the Boise River's South Fork. Hike, swim or enjoy water sports on reservoir off the Snake River.
We did not visit the restrooms or laundry, but assume they are as good as the rest of the park. The man we worked with was very helpful and friendly. The amount of time you can stay at a park or campground will vary from place to place depending on availability and restrictions.
